With all the energy of doing and being close to what I like and enjoy, I went on with my job research.
You know, there are some certificates, courses that are required when working in bars, coffees, hospitality in general.
If the place where you work serves alcohol your employer should ask you to have the RSA (RESPONSIBLE FOR SERVING ALCOHOL) Certificate. Tango Restaurante doesn't sell alcohol, it's bring your own alcohol, so I didn't need it there. But anyway I wanted to have it because in general is better you have it, believe me they ask for it everywhere. The course is 65 aud and takes one day.
It was better than I expected, not only for getting my certificae, but to be consiouss about some items when serving alcohol, you know australia is one of the highest drinkers countries?
When I move in to this house, my roomate said she was soon leaving australia, back to germany, she was working in a marketing agency, doing an internship and expecting to be sponsored so as to stay in sydney, and in the evenings she was working in a restaurant that's 5 blocks from home. The agency could not sponsored her. I will tell you more about this thing of Sponsors. Many professionals, come here expecting to stay, and for that you need the working visa or the residence, So if you come with a working holiday, as me, or a student visa, you have the possibility to apply for them. It's a system of points, and if you are in a job that wants to keep you, they can sponsor you, but is not that easy, because now with the depression the government is becoming more and more protectionist with asutralians' jobs. So I've met A LOT of young people that after a year, they're going back home, upset, because they came for that, and they couldn't make it. And the point is that maybe you've worked for months in a place as a full time intern, but without receiveing a cent.
Well, so Christina, my germany friend, was leaving and she told me I could pop in
with my CV in her restaurante. Good for me to get a job, and good for her to leave someone in her place. So I went there, the place is called Zacharys http://www.zacharyssydney.com.au/ and met John the manager, he said he was going to talk to Linnet and call me back. And I was opening my house door when I received a call for Linnet saying if I coukd go back for an interview with her. Of course yes.We had a very good interview, I felt really comfortable, and the place has something that generates a special climate. In the interview I gave her all my details,and afert clarifying the conditions, which I agreed with, she made me sign the agreement. So I knew that although I was having the trial that thursday, I had the job. And I'm fortunate, you know, the pay is very good, they are very clear and legal with the payment, if you work in weekends they pay more.
My trial was good!! So I got the job. And waht's important, the team is active but not stressed. I also worked there on saturday night that it becomes bar, dance, with a dj, so I made a lot of hours. And during the day in the weekend I went to tango restaurante.So I've been quite busy. But I have my spare time, mondyas and tuesdays are free, and also the days until 6 that I go to work.
The last trial I had was in the glamorous restaurante, across opera house, remember I told you about it, uff it was a horrible experience, the place was so big, so intimidating and pressure, at the end of the night I was so disappointed, tough I knew they were not going to call me back, I was not going to accept, and the paradox is that the richest people go there, they make hips of money every night but the pay is under the basic, whatever...what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. With my schedule organised, and makig my dollars income, I will tell you how I'm spending them and more about having fun.

La agencia no la pudo sponsorear. Les cuento un poco como funciona el tema de sponsors aca.
Muchos profesionales,vienen aca con la expectativa de quedarse, y para eso necesitas la visa de trabajo o la residencia. Me encontre con UN MONTON de jovenes que despues de un año se vuelven a su pais, decepcionados, porque vinieron con la idea de quedarse, y no lo lograron. Y la cosa es que quizas trabajaron muchos meses en una empresa como pasante full-time, lo cual es re buena experiencia, pero sin que te paguen un peso.
Asi que Christina, mi amiga alemana, se iba y me dijo que fuera a su restaurante con mi CV. Bueno para mi pare tener el laburo y para ella por dejar alguien en su lugar. Entonces encare para Zacharys http://www.zacharyssydney.com.au/ y estaba John el gerente, me dijo que iba a hablar con Linnet y me llamaba. Estaba abriendo la puerta de casa cuando me llama Linnet para ver si podia volver para entrevistarme con ella. Claro que si. Tuvimos una entrevista muy buena, me senti re comoda, y el lugar tiene algo que genera una atmosfera especial.
En la entrevista le di mis datos,y despues de aclararme las condiciones, las cuales me cerraron, me hizo firmar el contrato.
Asi que ahi supe que aunque tenia el dia de prueba ese jueves, era muy probable que ya tenia el laburo. Y soy afortunada, el sueldo por hora esta muy bien, son muy claros y legales con el pago, si trabajas fines de semana te pagan mas.
El dia de prueba me fue bien!!! Consegui el trabajo. Y lo que es importante el equipo esta a mil pero no estresado. Trabaje ahi tambien el sabado a la noche que se hace bar, baile, con dj, como terminó tarde pude haer muchas horas. Y durante el dia el fin de semana fui al tango restaurante. Asi que estuve bastante ocupada. Pero tengo tambien mi tiempo libre, lunes y martes tengo libre, y tambien los dias de semana hasta las 6 que voy al zacharys.
El ultimo trial que habia tenido, en el glamoroso restaurante enfrente al opera house,se acuerdan les conte, ufff fue una mala experiencia,el lugar era tan enorme, intimidante y mucha presion, sali re decepcionada, aunque sabia que no me iban a llamar yo no queria aceptar, y la paradoja que va la gente con mucha plata, y facturan a morir cada noche pero los sueldos son debajo del basico, y bueno... lo que no te mata te fortalece.
Con mis horarios mas acomodados, y generando un poco de dolares, ya les contare en que los gasto y mas sobre diversion.

I'm so happy I started my acting lessons in Aussie!!!
Since the very first moment I've arrived in australia I started the theatres' tour. I just wanted to pick up the best option for me.
Here in Sydney you have studios offering long-term careers and theatres or centres with lots of options for short-term courses (6 months, 2 months).
NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) is very well known and competitive. Nicole Kidman, Russel Crowe, Mel Gibson come from it. Also the "Actors Studio" is a big one.
And the one I like most is the "Actors Centre",in Surry Hills, it's like and old english theatre, and you have many different courses and rooms: acting, camera, Shakespeare, singing, and has also the career set in modules. So on Thursday I went to the acting class,this one is with no camera, I really wanted to take the class before, but always had or an interview or last minute stuff to do.
So there I was, like every Tuesdays in "Kafka",happy and ready to enjoy and work.(Reviving those moments when before starting our class, we have a chat together with coffe or mate, with the awesome fellows of Maria Onetto course).
We started with the relaxation, firstly by relaxing jaws and face, try it and you'll see that then the body follows. I always enjoy this stage of the class and it's very important to get to know the method that works better for one to get relaxed, and to make the energy exchange necessary for reaching to the acting state.
Then we made some excercises in group, playing some games and improvising with actions' proposals and reactions.
Sam, the teacher, has a good energy and gives Key tips, all the time.
We put in pairs and he handed out film scenes to go over before acting them. We had 20 minutes for that, some couples started performing and the actors were really good!!! Some of them were so Oz, with a hardly understandable accent. The ages and experiences are a mix.
So I performed my scene from the film 'Tootsie' with Laurent, I enjoyed it!!!I was looking forward to do some acting!!
I think my pronunciation can improve, sometimes when I speak fast I stress the "T" a lot and that sounds kind of indian.I think that english can be very expressive when saying a text, the english language itself has sentences that can be remarked and accompanied by a strong body language, think about english series, dialogues in films..
After the class they were asking me if I was from argentina,spain, they said I have a sexy accent, like penelope cruz, jaja, almost.
Instantly, after sharing an acting moment, a good energy stays in the air and in people,-satisfaction?- we went to have a drink to the bar, and there I was told that Sam, the teacher, is a well known actor, he's been performing Horatio in "Hamlet" play, that's just finished here, and in a serie called "Underbelly".
I had some chat with the two adult actors,they might be in their 50s, they were SO ACTORS, they've been for long in the profession and are now on stage, happy persons, they encouraged me to take the long term course and gave me some advice. This makes me think that one has to make the most of the opportunities of meeting people who share this passion.

Desde el primer momento que llegue a australia empece el tour por los teatros. Queria elegir la mejor opcion para mi.
Aca en Sydney hay Estudios, donde se puede hacer la carrera de dos años y Teatros o Centros con monton de opciones de cursos de dos o seis meses.

Asi que el jueves fui a la clase de actuacion, esta es sin camara, queria ir desde hace rato pero siempre me coincidia con una entrevista o cosas que hacer a ultimo momento.
Asi que ahi estaba, como todos los martes en el "Kafka" feliz y lista para disfrutar y laburar.(Reviviendo esos momentos previos a las clases de charlas, cafe o mate de por medio, con los Increibles compañeros del taller de Maria Onetto).
Empezamos con la relajación, primero relajando las mandíbulas y la cara, probá y vas a ver que el cuerpo se contagia y se va relajando tambien. Siempre me encanta esta parte corporal y es muy importante conocer que metodo le funciona mejor a cada uno para relajarse,y hacer el recambio de energia necesario para alcanzar el estado de actuación.
Despues hicimos unos ejercicios en grupo de juegos e improvisaciones proponiendo acciones y reacciones.
Sam, el profesor, tiene buena energia y nos iba dando 'tips' todo el tiempo.
Nos pusimos de a dos y nos repartió escenas de peliculas para repasarlas antes de actuar. Nos dio 20 minutos, y empezaron a pasar algunas parejas y la verdad que actuaban re bien!!! Algunos eran tan Oz (australianos) con un acento dificil de entender. Las edades y experiencias son un mix.
Pase mi escena con Laurent, de la pelicula 'Tootsie',la re disfrute!! Estaba con ansias de un poco de actuacion!!
La verdad que mi pronunciación puede mejorar, a veces cuando hablo rápido remarco bastante la "T" y suena tipo india. Me parece que el ingles puede ser muy expresivo a la hora de decir un texto, el idioma en si tiene frases que pueden ser acentuadas y acompañadas por expresiones corporales que le dan fuerza, sin ir mas lejos se puede ver en series, dialogos de peliculas..
Despues de la clase me preguntaban si era argentina,española, y me decian que mi acento es sexy, como penelope cruz, jajaj, casi.
Instantáneamente, luego de compartir un momento de actuación, se instala una energia positiva en el ambiente y en la gente , satisfacción, quizas?-, fuimos a tomar algo al bar, y ahi me dijeron que Sam, el prof, es un actor reconocido, estuvo haciendo el papel de Horatio en la obra "Hamlet", que acaba de terminar y en la serie "Underbelly".
Charle un poco con los dos actores más grandes, tendrán aprox. cincuenta años, TAN ACTORES, han estado por mucho tiempo en la profesión y ahora están con papeles en teatro, personas felices, me incentivaron para que haga el curso de 6 meses y me daban consejos. Me dejó pensando que hay que aprovechar al máximo las oportunidades de encontrar gente que comparte esta pasion.

Instantáneamente, luego de compartir un momento de actuación, se instala una energia positiva en el ambiente y en la gente , satisfacción, quizas?-, fuimos a tomar algo al bar, y ahi me dijeron que Sam, el prof, es un actor reconocido, estuvo haciendo el papel de Horatio en la obra "Hamlet", que acaba de terminar y en la serie "Underbelly".
Charle un poco con los dos actores más grandes, tendrán aprox. cincuenta años, TAN ACTORES, han estado por mucho tiempo en la profesión y ahora están con papeles en teatro, personas felices, me incentivaron para que haga el curso de 6 meses y me daban consejos. Me dejó pensando que hay que aprovechar al máximo las oportunidades de encontrar gente que comparte esta pasion.

city home and job (spanish below)
I'm now writing from my new home!!! I found this house because of an argentinian that recommended it to me, so I booked my place in a room and moved yesterday, monday 8th. It's a great location because it's quite central.
What about accommodation options in sydney? -You can get a flatmate and rent a flat, -get a rooom in a kind of residence (keep out of backpackers ones!!), I really don't like this option. The thing is like this, you have a room with a microwave and fridge but they are more like hostels rather than houses, so you might find yourself living in a room.- And another options is a shared house, I found this one I was determined about moving in to it, it has a living room, a room with a coach and tv/dvd, a courtyard,5 rooms and a kitchen, it's a home!! You pay a weekly rent to the owner of the house, that does not stay here.
Here we live 12 people, mostly girls and 4 boys I think, I haven't met all.
I share the room, it's quite big so it's ok, it has a balcony. It's flashback to the times when sharing room with my sisters !! I really like this house!!
So simoultaneously I started working in this Tango cafe. Luckily, the timing home-work was accurate, I couldn't have made it if I was still staying in Stanwell Park, because I had a looong train trip and I was getting tired.
So these days I've been doing night shifts and I'll probably be doing some morning shifts.
What's the job about? Well, I set the twelve tables, cuttlery, candles; I receive the people coming in, place them in a table if possible, saving them the decision of where to sit down,I take the order, this is done in duplicate,writing down the table number, the order with the specific abreviations so it's clear enough for the chef, the original goes to the kitchen, to the chef, and the duplicate goes for Orlando that makes coffees (they are asked at any time, also with dinner, delicious coffee with its variants). Then I have to follow up every table, When the dish is ready to be served I have to take it to the respective table and pinch the order indicating it's now done and the chef has it all in order and I have the right order for billing.
I do the table service, and I take the dishes to the back, I rinse them in a sink and place them in the dishwasher. But I have to be aware if someone's coming in, or ready to order, or ready to pay, uff I need to have my 4 eyes open, and my hands agile. During peak hours you have to be very quick and run. I have to use my memory, because tough having everything written downI have to remember who ordered what, appealing more and more to memory aids (faces,looking, nationality,clothes colours).
It also happens that people might change from table!! Frrom the other side I dindn't know this might cause confussion, but now I know, jaja if they moved because they're cold, or just because they felt so, I have to pay attention and change the number in the order, because other people will take their previous table and if I was in the back for example and I skip that then it's a mess for billing.
Yesterday here was a holiday and it was busy! I was in the side of people who works when people have their day off, jaja it's ok, I like to serve because I imagine they work in an office and so they deserve it.
Then when the peak hour passed I could relax and talk to the people, have my beer with the team and the chef cooked me some food, and I also could take my lunch for today..
What I've obersved from people coming to the restaurante is that, in general, australians, specially adults, are very respectful and sort of timid, these makes them easy going. Argentinian or Latins that come are more talkative, and some don't lose the chance to chatter. so argentinians!
Well, I'm now going to the supermarket because I have to buy some stuff.
Tonight I have a trial in a very glamourous restaurante, I hope I go well, so I can combine shifts with the tango cafe and getting paid from these I'd be able to do unpaid jobs in places where I'm interested in !!! You know, hospitality is not my primary goal.

casa en la ciudad y trabajo
Estoy escribiendo desde mi nueva casita!! Llegue a esta casa por medio de una argentina que me la recomendo, asi que ni bien la vi reserve lugar en un cuarto y me mude ayer, lunes 8. La ubicacion es excelente porque es bastante centrica.
Como es el tema con el alojamiento en sydney?- podes conseguirte un compañero/a de departamento y compartirlo,- alquilar un cuarto en un estilo de residencias (mantenerse lejos de las de mochileros!!!), a mi no me gusta para nada esta opcion. La cosa es asi, tenes tu cuarto con microondas, heladera pero son tipo hostels mas que casa, probablemnte te encuentres viviendo en un cuarto..- Y otra opcion es una casa compartida. Encontre estac asa y estaba decididisima a mudarme aca, tiene un living, un cuarto de estar con sillon, tv/dvd, un patio, 5 cuartos y una cocina, lindo hogar!Pagas el alquiler por semana a la dueña que no vive aca.
Somos 12 personas viviendo aca, la mayoria mujeres y 4 chicos creo. Todavia no conoci a todos.
Comparto cuarto, es bastante grande asi que esta bien, tiene balconcito. Me hace acordar a cuando compartia el cuarto con mis sistes!! Me copa esta casa!!
Simultaneamente empece a trabajar en el Tango cafe, el timing casa-trabajo fue preciso, no creo que pudiera seguir haciendolo si siguiera en stanwell park, porque tenia muchoooo viaje en tren y era muy cansador.
Asi que estos dias estuve haciendo el turno de la noche y probablemente haga tambien algunos de la mañana.
De que se trata el laburo? Bueno, preparo las doce mesas, cubiertos, velas; recibo a la gente que llega, los ubico en una mesa si es posible, asi les ahorro la decision de donde sentarse, tomo la orden en duplicado, anoto el numero de mesa y el pedido segun las abreviaciones especificas del menu para que quede bien claro para el chef, el original va a la cocina, al chef, y el duplicado va para Orlando que hace los cafes (salen en todo momento, incluso acompañando la comida, riquisimos cafes en todas sus variantes). Tengo que hacer el seguimiento de cada mesa. Cuando esta listo el plato para servir lo llevo a la mesa correspondiente y pincho el papel con el pedido indicando que ya salio asi el chef tiene todo ordenado y yo tengo todo bajo control para despues cobrar.
Levanto la mesa, llevo los platos al fondo, los enjuago y los pongo en el lavaplatos. Pero tengo que estar atenta si alguien esta entrando o si hay alguien listo para pedir, o pagar, uff necesito tener cuatro ojos y las manos agiles. En las horas pico hay que ser muy rapida y corres un poco. Usar la memoria, porque aunque tenga todo anotado tengo que acordarme quien pidio que, apelando a los tips de ayuda-memoria (cara,look,nacionalidad, color de ropa).
Tambien puede pasar que la gente se cambie de mesa!! Estando del otro lado , clienta, ni sabia que esto confunde a los mozos, pero ahora lo se, jaja si se trasladan porque tienen frio, o porque les pinto, tengo que prestar atencion y cambiar el numero de mesa en el papel de la orden, porque en la mesa anterior va a senatrse gente nueva y si yo estoy atras y me pierdo de ver ese movimiento se hace lio para cobrar.
Ayer era feriado y estuvo bastante lleno!!Asi que ahi estaba del lado de los que trabajan cuando la gente descansa, jaja esta todo bien, me gusta atenderlos porque pienso que si laburan en una oficina se lo merecen.
Despues cuando pasa la hora pico me puedo relajar y charlar con la gente, tomar una cerveza con el equipo y el chef me cocina algo, y me lleve comida rica para mi almuerzo de hoy..
Un poco lo que observe de la gente que viene al restaurante es que, en general los australianos, en especial los adultos, son muy respetuosos y algo timidos, lo que los hace faciles de tratar.Los argentinos y/o latinos que vienen son mas charlatanes, y algunos no pierden oportunidad de chamuyar. tan argentinos!
Bueno, me voy al supermercado que no tengo nada aca.
Hoy a la noche tengo un 'trial' que es prueba/training en un restaurante de mucho glamour, espero que me vaya bien, asi combino turnos con el tango cafe y con estos trabajos pagos hacer horas en otro trabajos que me interesan aunque no me paguen!! Ya que restaurantes no es mi principal meta.

Pienso que deberíamos aprovechar la oportunidad de volver a ver los shows, obras, canciones que alguna vez nos emocionaron y nos llenaron de felicidad. Por suerte, hoy en día, hay muchas maneras de seguir en contacto con una escena, una imagen, un actor y apreciarlo una vez más. Sin ir mas lejos: youtube!!
El año pasado fui a ver "Rent, la vida es hoy" al Konex, creo que el musical estuvo bien, pero me impresionó la interpretación de la actriz principal, Florencia Otero en el papel de Mimí. Realmente emocionaba, y vale la pena verla.

Interview time
"Yes, I can do that" became the top placed phrase these days. Partly because I realized that with no experience, here you might not be considered, and also because is the advice I've received from my friends, locals or that have been here for some time.
Last friday I had my interview at Voom: Actors' management agency, they place people in soap operas, films, commercials, etc. Vanessa explained me how they worked, which are their main contacts and asked me what my interests were, I said that acting or extra is my idea, and we went over my artistic resume (I hold like 3 or 4 types of resumes, according to the target) that she had in her hands. I became a member and she said she might call me for extra on monday. As an actor friend told me "everything is a plus when it's about experience" so I took some pictures and left. It could be funny to be shot here in Australia. So this day I displayed my artisitc side, I had rehearsed a text in english and in spanish ("Es infinita esta riqueza abandonada", text given in last year acting lessons) and had songs in mind in case they ask me to show something!! You have to be ready to say "Yes, I can do that", dance, sing, whatever.
The following day I was on internet applying for sales positions, now displaying my Sales and Business Administration skills. And I received a phone call. I didn't expect much of this position, because when advertisements are not very clear about salary is because it's commissioned only, or something's not that good.
So I went to the interview to 'United' marketing agency, there they explained me that they were looking to incorporate sales staff for a washless and wax cleaning product for cars. As I imagined, it was only commisions, but I decided to go on and see what this was about. They called me for the next step, to attend what they call a "test day". I was going to a petrol station with Stephan, a rumanian guy, that's been working selling this for 10 months now. Stepahn was very motivated, he says he gets good comissions and that this was his first experience in sales and was enjoying it.
So I spent the morning in the petrol station with him, he explained some tips, how to approach people, the demonstration of the product, etc. What I noticed is that australians do buy, some of them approached by themselves to the stand saying "give me 2 please"... Others just gave their time and tried the product, I was surprised about this feedback, I thought in Argentina, nobody would listen to you in a petrol station, no one would give you their time, including myself.
So it was interesting, I started to think that it was not going to be that bad if I got this job (maybe because of the perspective of being a babysitter) I would be in shops or in the street and be, in some way, in contact with people and it could be a start for making some money. So I went back to the office and had an interview with the manager, Paul. He asked me some questions, this is the part where you sell yourself and state "Yes, I can do that". And he said they'd call to let me know if I was in. In that case the starting day was on monday, with a previous training on saturday.
After this, I had the feeling I had to go to Coogee, it's a beach suburb I've been to some weeks ago, and where an argentinian told me he might need people in his restaurante. 
I was so sleepy, I had woken up at 5.50 am, been standing up in that petrol station, but I yawned and took the bus to Coogee, I wanted to give out my updated resume, the waitress resume, with my new adress to this guy. In the bus my boot's zip broke up!! shit, an indian in the bus helped me to fix it but we couldn't. I put a hair band around it, got down from the bus and once on the street I realized I had left my envelope with resumes on the seat!!! So I knocked the busdriver's door and got my cvs back. This was becoming in one of those days that have to end asap!!

The owner of the restaurant was not there but close to it was this "Tango Cafe", from which I've already heard of. So I went in and (with the back part of my boot totally open but hidden with my pants) with a smile on my face asked "Hello, I wonder if you need any help waiting, or with the kitchen", and Orlando said "Yes, I do!!and in spanish, wearing a hat with an argentinian ribbon, added: Hola, soy Orlando, vos tambien sos argentina no?. Te voy a necesitar! Here we all do everything, is a friendly restaurant, and the concept is that people have a good time and we are not formal with them but receive them as if they came to our homes. You will have to take orders, be in the counter, receive the people, etc, Ok? "Yes, I can do that". GOAL! So yesterday was my first day there. (I'll expad on this)
Then I was confirmed for the sales job, I asked for some advice on what to chose and concluded that I'd rather go for the restaurant. Wish me luck!!!
Tiempo de entrevistas
Estos días la frase que encabezó el ranking fue "Si, yo se hacer eso". En parte porque me fui dando cuenta que sin la experiencia es dificil que tengan en cuenta, y tambien porque es lo que me fueron aconsejando mis amigos que son de acá o que están hace un tiempo.
El viernes pasado tuve mi entrevista en Voom: agencia de actores, ubican a la gente en novelas, películas, comerciales, etc. Vanessa me explicó un poco como laburaban, quienes son sus principales clientes, y me preguntó que es lo que más me interesaba, yo le dije que lo que fuera actuar or extra y me iba preguntando cosas de mi curriculum artistico (tengo 3 o 4 curriculums, depende el target) que tenía en sus manos. Me asocie a esta agencia y me dijo que capaz me llamaba para hacer de extra el lunes. Como me dijo un amigo actor "todo suma y es experiencia", me saque las fotos y me fui pensando que sería divertido que me filmen en Australia. Asi que este día desplegue el lado artístico, habia ensayado un texto en ingles y en español ("Es infinita esta riqueza abandonada", texto que me dieron en clases de teatro) y tenía algunas canciones en mente por si me pedían que muestre algo!! Hay que estar preprados para decir "S'i, yo se hacer eso", bailar, cantar, lo que sea.
Al dia siguiente estuve en internet aplicando a laburos de ventas (era lo que mas habia), ahora desplegando mis 'habilidades' relacionadas con Ventas y administración. Y me llamaron. No esperaba gran cosa del puesto que me hablaron, porque cuando los avisos no especifican salario es porque son solo comision o porque algo que lo hace no tan genial hay.
Asi que fui a la entrevista en 'United', agencia de marketing, donde me explicaron que estaban buscando gente para ventas para un producto para limpiar y encerar autos que no usa agua. Como me iamgine, era solo a comision, pero decidi seguir en el proceso y ver de que se trataba. Me llamaron para la siguiente etapa, que consistia en asistir al "dia de prueba". Iba a ir a una estación de servicio con Stephan, un rumano, que está trabajando hace 10 meses vendiendo este producto. Stephan parecia muy motivado, dice que saca buenas comisiones, que no habia trabajado antes en ventas y que le gustaba.
Pase la mañana en la estación de servicio con el, me explicó algunos 'tips', como abordar a la gente, cómo hacer la demostración del producto, etc. Lo que note es que los australianos realmente compran, algunos se acercaban directamente por su cuenta al stand pidiendo dos latas del producto. Otros daban su tiempo y los probaban, yo estaba re sorprendida con la respuesta, y pensaba que en argentina nadie te daría pelota en una estación de servicio, no te darían el tiempo, me inlcuyo.
Estaba interesante la cosa, y empece a pensar que no estaria nada mal si me salia este laburo (quizas frente a la perspectiva de ser babysitter) estaría en negocios o en la estaciones de alguna forma en contacto con la gente y podia ser una forma de empezar a hacer algo de plata. Volvi a la oficina y me entrevistó el gerente, Paul. Me hizo algunas preguntas, esa es la parte en la que hay que venderse y afirmar "Si, yo se hacer eso". Me dijo que me iban a llamar para confirmarme si quedaba y en ese caso empezaria el lunes, con previo training el sabado.
Despues de esto, tuve el feeling de que tenía que ir a Coogee, es un lugar de playa donde estuve hace unas semanas, y en donde un argentino me dijo que iba a necesitar gente en su restaurant.
Tenia mucho sueño, me habia despertado a las 5.50 am, habia estado paradita en la estacion de servicio, pero bostoce y me tome el bondi a Coogee. Queria llevar mi curiculum actualizado, el curriculum de camarera, con mi nueva dirección, al dueño de este restó. En el colectivo se me rompió completamente el cierre de la bota!! merda, un hindú del asiento de adelante me ayudó a arreglarlo pero no pudimos. La ate con una gomita de pelo, me baje del colectivo y ya abajo me di cuenta que me habia olvidado el sobre con los curriculums en el asiento!! Le golpee la puerta al chofer y recupere mis cvs. Se estaba conviertiendo en uno de esos dias que queres que terminen ya!!
El dueño del restaurante no estaba pero cerca de ese estaba el "Tango cafe", me habian hablado de este. Asi que entre y (con la parte de atras de la bota abierta disimulada con el pantalon que la cubria) con una sonrisa en la cara dije "Hola , me pregunto si necesitas ayuda atendiendo, o en la cocina", y Orlando dijo "Yes, I do!! y en castellano usando un sombrero con una cinta argentina, agregó, Hola, Soy Orlando, vos tambien sos argentina, no? Te voy a necesitar! Aca todos hacemos de todo, es un restaurant amigable, el concepto es que la gente pase un buen rato y no somos formales en el trato, los recibimos como si fueran a nuestra casa. Vas a tomar pedidos, estar en el mostrador, recibir a la gente, de todo, Ok?" Sii, puedo hacer eso!! Gol! Asi que ayer fue mi primer dia (ampliare).
Despues me confirmaron del puesto de ventas, pedí consejo para elegir, y decidi que prefiero ir por el restó argentino. Deseenme suerte!!!

It's almost been three weeks since I arrived in this stylish city, Sydney, and in many opportunities I felt the urge to write down what I was seeing, hearing or reading so as to "record" it in some way. So here I am. New experiences inspire and move one, they change us and by sharing them we make them real, and who knows, they might inspire you too.
During these 'adaptation days' I've been walking about Sydney's suburbs: Surry Hills: artistic and fashion; Darlinghurst: full of bars and youth life; The rocks-Cicular Quay: with the Opera House and Harbour bridge; Bondi, Coogee and Bronte: great Beaches and full of small food shops and bars; well, there are more, and all of them are worthy!
I move around with my mind widely open, taking the time to ask me what I visualize myself doing??? which task, which place, which industry. I mean, when you come to stay for a considerable time, you have to start your life again, but now here, and you don't know what's going to happen! The advantage of this is that there are thousand of options, you've not even thought of many of them before.
This is at one level, inside yourself, and is what motivates you and keeps your energy up. I move and seek opportunities to be as near as possible of these things I like. I know this will take time to happen, Rome wasn't built in a day, but I'll be here, on the way...
Meanwhile, I know I have to work in something, whatever, so I apply for everything I read about jaja, just a job to support my happy staying.

For the acting eye, this is great, every reality or simple story can be a scene to perform or and idea to improvise. I think many deserve to be told, in the coming lines I will try to post some.

I love to hear peoples' stories, to look around and observe behaviours, actions, it might become very interesting with the diversity of cultures. For the acting eye, this is great, every reality or simple story can be a scene to perform or and idea to improvise. I think many deserve to be told, in the coming lines I will try to post some.
Primeras semanas en Sydney
Me voy moviendo con la mente bien abierta, tomándome el tiempo para preguntarme que me visualizo haciendo???que tarea, en que lugar, en que industria. Cuando venís a instalarte a un nuevo lugar por un tiempo considerable, es como si nacieras de nuevo, tenes que empezar tu vida aca y no tenes idea de lo que puede llegar a pasar! La ventaja de esto es que hay miles de opciones, y muchas de ellas ni las habías pensado antes.
Esto es a nivel personal, lo que está adentro tuyo, y es lo que te motiva y te mantiene con la energia bien despierta. Yo me muevo y busco oportunidades para estar lo más cerca posible de estas cosas que me gustan. Se que lleva su tiempo que esto se de, como dice la frase: 'Rome wasn' built in a day', pero aquí estare, en la ruta...

Mientras tanto, se que tengo que trabajar en algo, lo que venga, y estoy aplicando a todo lo que encuentro jaja, para laburar en algo que me permita bancar mi feliz estadía acá.

Me encanta escuchar las historias de la gente, mirar afuera y observar comportamientos, acciones, y eso puede ponerse muy interesante con la diversidad de culturas. Para el ojo de actriz, esto es buenisimo, cada realidad o simple historia es una escena para actuar o un disparador de ideas para improvisar. Considero que muchas merecen ser contadas, en las próximas líneas tratare de plasmar algunas.
